BACKGROUND OF THE GAME

This will be the 27th year of the Showcase. Showcase serves as a non-profit 501(c)3 venue to award scholarships to all seniors that participate in the game. This includes football players, managers, sports medicine trainers, cheerleaders, dance, JROTC, drill team, band, flag team, and choir. The game has produced over 665 scholarships for El Paso seniors totaling $558,000.00. The game provides an opportunity to pool El Paso County talent which, in turn, allows college scouts to effectively recruit high school seniors in our regionally secluded area. This is a venue that recognizes El Paso students that are athletes as well as academic achievers and, future community leaders.

15 minute quarters
Half-time performances

End of game MVP awards to players

Year-Round Marketing Events:

ESPN 600 Friday Night Football from August to November.
Press Conference @ UTEP Durham Ctr.
Draft – selection of teams
Parent/student night for student group of the game.
Media Day in Sun Bowl Saturday before game
